On to the New Year!

As I was putting the Nativity away I noticed a little LEGO sword tucked in to the fence post.
I don't know who put it there, but they must have thought the shepherd needed it.

Both boys got a wallet for Christmas, and C came across a picture of KK when she was a little girl and decided that it needed to go in his wallet.

Enjoying his police costume that he got for Christmas.
All year he's been saying he wants to be a police man when he grows up.

H was so happy about all the LEGOs he got for Christmas.
He spends so much time building and creating.

C was so proud of himself one day for making his bed nice and lining all of his animals up.

We discovered that we could all fit inside my big slouchy sweater!

Yummy frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf.
I thought the picture on the wall was perfect for these boys!

Christmas!!!!

We made and decorated some cookies.
This is the first year that they (mostly) look thoughtfully decorated and not just a messy free for all!

We decided to open the family presents on Christmas Eve this year, and Santa presents on Christmas morning. It was so nice that they got to really enjoy all of their presents.  They were happy with all of their gifts, and enjoyed everything!

Christmas Eve fireworks!
Of course!

Visions of sugarplums....

Iron Man hand, Captain America shield, Moana fish hook.
Happy boy!

Christmas at Nanny's.
We loved being with all the family, more great gifts and nice family time.

The cats even got in on the Christmas spirit and snuggled together (which they never do!)

Christmas crafts!
We made the chalk Christmas lights.
They turned out pretty good!

We've had a Christmas devotional that we've used the last few years, and it goes along with the Jesse Tree ornaments, so I made some wood chip zentangle ornaments that go along with the devotional.  I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out.

The Children's Museum, Christmas edition

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but we the boys had fun, talking to Santa, playing in the "snow," decorating cookies, going down the huge slide, and playing with everything else!

Snapshots

 Gingerbread house decorating (and sampling!)

Christmas shopping... too much to look at, too many people, too much time!

 Just hanging out!
Our church meets in a High School, and they take the kids to the gym after the lesson.
They love to run around and get some energy out.
When I picked them up this time, they were so excited to show me how they could climb up!

We took Tatum to the vet for a check up and they loved the tree!
I think Tatum is always embarrassed to have his sweater on, even if its very cold

 Making cookies.
C likes to sample everything!

 H drew this reindeer.
Pretty cute, but it looks like he's had a rough day.

 Skatetown!
We love it!
The boys had been hoping to get the spiky hands for awhile and were so happy to get them!

We enjoyed checking out some Christmas lights in the area.  There were a few homes that had lights programmed to match the music on a certain radio station, H said "its kind of freaking my mind out!"
It was so cool!

Snapshots

 SkateTown fun!
H has said on several occasions that he would like to be a SkateTown worker when he grows up!

He loves to skate and participate in the races.  He usually places first or second.

H was pretending to be Santa in his Santa pjs.
C was telling him all about how he wanted a real reindeer and a real shooting star for Christmas

I was walking down the hall at school one day and peeked into C's classroom and saw this cute face!
He was supposed to be napping.

H wrote C's Christmas list for him.
He did a good job telling him what Santa could and could not give him for Christmas.

 Setting out our Nativity

This was right after our school Christmas program.
It went well, and the boys did great!
H's class sang a couple songs about reindeer, and C's class sang a song about Christmas elves.

 Christmas concert selfie!
It was great, but I am so glad its over!

H drew the Santa and his elf, and accidentally told someone to have a "weary Christmas!"

It took a lot of tries, but we finally got a good one!
