Snapshots

Just a normal Saturday morning - C having rock star haired conversations with the cat....
This cheerleader pom-pom has been making appearances quite frequently these days.

"Look Mama!  We're rock stars!"

I love seeing this!
I'll be sad when they are too cool to hold hands at school.
Some of the teachers meet twice a week before school to pray for the students, teachers, and community, and the boys like when this happens because they can walk to class by themselves.

The school holds an art show each year at the local museum.  This is H with his art teacher and his art (3rd from the top on the right).  It's so fun for him to see his own art on display at a museum!

C saw this portrait and said "Is this the George Washington that lives here?"

H saw this and said "Look! A noise machine!"
He was amazed when I told him it was an old phone.

Worn out on the way from school Friday.
Some weeks wear us out more than others.

After a little nap in the car, a quick trip to the park.
They are all of the sudden into climbing on top of everything at the park, makes me nervous!

I Will Be Good

If only wearing the shirt would make it so....

But I love them anyway!

Sick Week

H wasn't acting his usual self for a couple of days, and then it turns out he was a sick puppy!
Even though he never said that his throat hurt, it turned out to be strep throat.

C loved staying home, and especially loved not having to wear anything
(I insisted he put shorts on to come outside!)
He and Tatum have pretty much always acted like they were litter mates!

 H drew this cat.
Cute!

C drew "a magic potion for I love you."

 And then C got strep....
No fun! Aside from headaches and the occasional high fever they didn't seem to feel too terrible.

H was well enough to head back to school on Friday and go on his class field trip.  C was feeling good that day, so we went and met up with his class for a brief lunch and bowling.

There was a little spider on the floor, and the boys apparently decided that taping it to the floor was the best way to deal with it.

Both cats have claimed a boys' bed that they like best.
Leonard always sleeps on H's, and Horton always sleeps on C's.
(excuse the messy beds.  We tried making the beds each morning, but then they get in and out of and play on their beds so many times throughout the day that it is a little pointless to try to keep them made!)

 Sunday wishes.
They can't pass up a good dandelion!  And they love to have everyone blow it together.

Shopping with boys...
I never know what to expect!

Weekend snapshots

Reading "The Lion King" at the library, and then following the sweet librarian around to tell her all about it.

Fruit and veggie prints at the library.
The boys loved the activity, but were a little disappointed that they couldn't eat the fruit and veggies!

You just never know what to expect with these two.
Of course the Dr. Suess bags should go on your head!

Tic-tac-toe strategizing....
He's pretty good at the game

Snapshots

After our Spring Break and flood days, it was back to the school routine!
Thankfully we all felt a little more rested and ready to get back to school.
And back to homework!
This was H reading his library book and C practicing his letters (with his bunny glasses!)

C likes to collect little bits and pieces of things that catch his eye, or he thinks are neat, this was his little collection that I cleaned out of the car.

H's class did a Blue Dog art project, and I loved the way his class's turned out so much that we did a family project of it.  I like the way they turned out.
C's on the left, mine in the middle, and H's on the right

They are really into making tents these days.
H called it his little home, C called it his kennel
(because, as he tells me several times a day, he is Puppy Trahan)

They have also been really into the dress up basket lately.
Not only just a regular costume, but coming up with their own costume combinations.

They loved the trip to Sam's Club.  Lots to see, climb on, and taste!

Domino train!  H loved it until Tatum kept accidentally knocking it over.

C just wasn't really feeling it.
They kept falling over...

Fun at the park.  We enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend.
H was practicing his swing jumping skills.

Boy Scout Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt this week.
