Pic a Day

H drew this picture of me with a rainbow over my head.
Looks just like me?

Tatum helped me realize that there is a leak in the pool.  I hope it was worth the bath he got!

 Hiyaaa!
The boys were enjoying their balloon swords from June Fest

Leonard gets so worn out keeping the dog and the boys entertained.
Its exhausting!

C had climbed up into H's bed during naptime to sleep with Leonard.

H takes his self-given job of reading C his naptime story very seriously.

The boys loved looking at the globe at bedtime.
H was soo into it.

 "Boa kiss"
(blow a kiss)

A crazy hair kind of day

Pic a Day

The boys were "helping" fold the clothes.
H did a great job most of the time, C just sort of jumbled the clothes up.

 Splash!

H painted a picture of a person with ants crawling up their sides, and hands (the first hands he's drawn!).  The floating face above the person is "the world smiling."

C was pretty happy about his first night in his big boy bed!

 Tatum likes summer!

 Cool, dude!

C takes potty training seriously!

Cloud 9

Now that it is getting pretty hot and school is out, we are finding some indoor activities to do.  We headed over to Cloud 9 yesterday and the boys had a blast!
I think the pictures are all a little blurry, they didn't stay still for long!

Ball pit fun!  They spent quite some time in here.

C loves balls, and has a throwing stance.  Like a basketball hoop is directly above his head (it usually isn't).  I still have no idea where he saw this, or if it is just natural to him.  With his height in the 13th percentile, he makes an unlikely basketball player.

Bouncing, climbing, sliding, a good way to get some energy out!

H was loving his sweaty, wild man hair.

They both did surprisingly good at air(table?) hockey.

Morning well spent!

Monroe

We went to Monroe for a few days to visit family.  It is always so good to go!  I come back loved up, rested, and always make sure to get some time to do a little shopping (by myself!).
While there, H showed Nanny how to do games on his nabi.  I think she was enjoying it as much as he was!

The boys loved the turtle sprinkler that C got for his birthday.

 Bubbles!
Nanny had the most awesome box full of  every bubble blower you can imagine.  We all had fun with that.

 Bubble boy

And, of course we couldn't go to Monroe without going to Dragonfly (Forsythe) Park.  The boys love it!

H's drawing of a Christmas tree, snow angels (to the right) and a little snowman (to the left).
Christmas in June?

Tow Mater's Party

H's buddy Pearce had a Tow Mater party (a couple of months ago, oops!)
They had an actual tow truck that the kids could raise and lower the back arm (?).  It was noisy, and H seemed a little unsure, but it was neat.

There were little cars to paint

They also brought in a police car.
H loved the fact that he could make all of the sirens and lights go on and off and no one told him to stop!  Heaven for this wild boy!

Why haven't I learned not to buy or wear white shirts anymore???
They could decorate and eat their own cookies, and C (of course) chose red frosting, and was soon wearing it all over his face and shirt. (it did all wash out).

These brothers have no such thing as personal space.
Construction cone cups with yummy lemonade were so fun!
Both boys enjoyed the party.

C's party

We had a small party for C on Saturday.  Just a few buddies and neighbors were perfect!  The party really started when the boys found the capes and play hats.  Even a few of the adults put hats on too!

We had a Snakes, snails, puppy dog tails - all things boy party for C.  Because he is all boy and he loves all things boy!  Dirt pudding seemed like the perfect desert.

The adults even enjoyed the monster finger puppets!  Our neighbors Tiffany and Coulter and their monsters had a very deep conversation with H's.

 Presents!
Trucks, sprinkler toys, bubbles, water bottles...

After presents, we did bubbles.

Some of C's words at two:
Dar: draw
Nessus: necklace
Dado: Tatum
Butter: brother
Hart: SweetHart
White: wipe
Sot-t-t:sock
Baytee:  blankie
Reeda: Goodnight gorilla

He loves and notices everything "boo" (blue)
Still hates bananas and eggs, sleeps with balls and books about trucks, loves Goodnight Gorilla, wants to do everything brother does, is so sweet, we love our C!

Pic a Day

 "A Flower that Grows"
H drew this during church last week!  I love it!

 Swimming with buddies.
The boys love spending time in the pool, but they love it even more with good friends to share it with!

 Playing the "xyla"

 Potty Training at its finest!
I wasn't planning on potty training C until he was at least 2 1/2, but he seemed ready and willing.  We've had almost a week with no diapers except while sleeping, and only minimal accidents.  And quite a few parking lot, potty seat in the trunk, "teeteepotty" experiences!

 A helicopter!
More and more it seems that H decided what he wants to draw and then draws it, instead of drawing something and then deciding what it is.  I love each and every of his drawings and am always happy to see what he comes up with. As a result, I have a humongous stack of artwork and am not sure what to do with it!

I caught a rare glimpse of H napping, he looks like such an innocent little boy!
(and then he wakes up.....)

Pirate Party!

H's buddy from school had a pirate party this weekend and it was fun!  It was supposed to be a pool party, but it got rained out, so they had it at H's school gym.  He was so excited to be going there!  They told everyone to bring a riding toy.  There were so many different kinds!  Scooters, balance bikes, plasma cars, bikes with training wheels, kid sized four wheelers and more!  Whatever happened to tricycles?

 There was also buried treasure!
H loved his pirate rings and doubloons.  C loved the mini pirate beach ball.

All of the goodies were pirate themed and cute.

 Walk the plank!

The boys were so happy about their first ever tattoos!
I'm thinking I'll need to start stocking up on these from now on.
