Halloween

Trunk or Treat!

So happy about all of the candy!

They both chose jackets for costumes so they could keep wearing them after Halloween. 

 Decorating sugar cookies! 

Bats, Cats, and Pumpkins!

 Black Bayou had a spooky moonlight walk on Halloween.  

They had spooky spiders, owls, bats and bobcats all along the trail - complete with the animal sounds, creepy creatures, and a bit of information about the animal. 

We finished the walk off with smores by the campfire.

 Trick or treating. 

They enjoyed getting all of the candy, 

but H kept saying "I didn't know there was so much walking in trick or treating!"

C drew a picture of himself as a Ninja Turtle!

Snapshots

 When its not too hot or too cold, we love to go to the parking lot of the local elementary school and ride bikes.  They are both getting so fast on their bikes!  And I think it might be time to upsize!

 The boys in H's pack got their new belt loops for passing another level.

C was so proud of the keychain he got from the treasure box for learning Word List One, and for counting to 100 by himself!

Mom and Me Campout, Part 2

They had several "shooting" activities for the boys to participate in.

C hit his a couple. 

It'll be fun to see if there is improvement next year!

Somehow H did much better at the BB guns, and C did better at the arrows.

It was so cold the second morning!

But the boys were sleeping so soundly in their sleeping bags!

Mom and Me campout, part1

We were so excited (and a little apprehensive) about going to camp out with so many boy scouts!

 We were greeted by a beautiful sunset

They said that there were well over 200 boys (and their mamas) there. 

The woman in charge is nicknamed "Bulldog" and C kept telling me how much he liked "Miss Bulldog's" camp. 

 The boys just had to have walking sticks at scout camp.  

They were so happy, 

but they were certain that they were actually ninja sticks!

 They had so many fun activities for the boys

The boys favorite part of the campout was the tree houses! 

Our pack leader is going to training so that we can campout in the treehouses some day!
