Luck of the Irish

Today we celebrated St. Patrick's day by enjoying the outdoors and doing a little yard work!

H is at the age where helping Daddy do some work is still fun and exciting!
I'm sure in a few more years the fun aspect of yard work will wear off...
N even found a H sized rake to use. H loved it! He would 'rake' a little and then push around his wheelbarrow to collect pine cones and sticks.

And I helped too....by taking lots of pictures!
(30 weeks!)

H is really into collecting nature tidbits - sticks, rocks, pine cones, flowers... I'm sure the neighbors won't mind a few flowers missing, right?

I found you!

The rake became a horse/doggy at one point.

Hard work for a little guy!

Waiting for some friends to come celebrate with us:

We had corned beef and cabbage for supper, with some Irish Soda Bread and Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. It was all good, but the Sticky Toffee pudding was definitely the highlight! Make it when you can - soooo good, and very rich - so you only need a little. (I didn't have dates on hand so I used raisins and couldn't tell a difference)

H got this month's free book from the Imagination Library and was studying up on an important topic! (If you haven't already, sign up to get your little ones a free monthly book.)
