SweetHart and KK, Part 2: Skating

I've been thinking about taking the boys to the skating rink for a little while now, but wanted the first time to be with an extra set of hands to help keep little ones as upright as possible.

Once we got there, I was a little nervous that it would be a disaster, but it was fun!

All lined up with our skates.
The boys thought it was hilarious and great fun to have shoes with wheels on them and that they could glide all around on them.

A (blurry) action shot of H skating while holding my hand.
He fell A LOT but eventually got the hang of gliding instead of running, and is looking forward to going again so he can "get better and go really fast!"

 C did surprisingly well too!
Although in this picture he had decided crawling on the floor was easier than skating.

We even got SweetHart out on the rink with us!
(She did great on the rink, but fell under a table while practicing on the floor.)
She had fun anyway though!
I think KK and I were the only ones who made it through the afternoon without falling down.  My back was sure sore the next day though from holding on tight to little boys!

It was so much fun, but we were all a little worn out by the end.
KK was holding onto H and I carried C, because their "feet were tired"

We finished off the day with sparklers and fireworks.
The boys love them, and KK and SweetHart were excited about them because fireworks are illegal where they are from.  What a fun way to start the new year!
