Summer fun snapshots

H has been practicing his bubble blowing skills.  He's getting pretty good at it.  The actual "Bubble Yum" brand is much better than the other kinds of gum, especially the cotton candy flavor.

The boys were excited/freaked out to find a zipper spider on our car.  The web is so neat, and the spider was under the web so we saw his reflection on the car.

These Magformers have been one of our most played with toys.  H loves to see what he can create each time.  For awhile he just followed the patterns in the booklet, but now he likes to make his own creations.

 The Lone Ranger.
He loves this hat

 Red noses...why not?
Nice to have time to mess around this summer.

 Doing a little art.

Snapshots

We broke out the pool!
This guy was serious about it! Two pairs of goggles, a headband, a sword, and more.  He was READY!

Checking out birds and their sounds with SweetHart.
They had spotted one while they were out and wanted to learn more about it.

The boys have been into sleepovers lately.  Wanting to have sleepovers for the last day of school, because it was Friday, etc.  Its sort of fun, as long as H sleeps in the middle.  (C is a wild sleeper!).  I suppose I should enjoy it while I can, because I'm sure one day they won't want to have a sleepover with Mama!

We found a turtle in Nanny's back yard.  The boys thought it was so cool.

Super Boy and his Super Pup.
Tatum wasn't sure if he liked it or not.
But C was soooo happy about it!

And with Leonard.  C loves our animals.

The boys decided that they wanted to exercise with me.
I didn't have any extra weights, so they thought that Tatum's bones were just about the right size and shape.  It makes exercise a lot less monotonous when they "exercise" with me.

H taking a break from puddle splashing to check out the rocks and other flotsam in the puddle.

The boys seem to have caught a lot more little viruses this year.
Its been frustrating that they keep getting sick, but the extra snuggles and more low key days are very pleasant.

A beautiful life

My sweet Nanny passed away.
She had 95 wonderful years.  A beautiful example of a woman of faith.  I loved to listen to her tell stories of her younger days.  She had some adventures in her youth!

Nanny's great grands playing with bubbles in her back yard.  She would have loved seeing everyone having fun at her house!

 Handsome men!
(When I took this picture, they were all very ready to get out of the fancy clothes!)

 Me and SweetHart.

 Cousins playing/reading together.
They all got along really well.

playing a game in Nanny's rocker.
Some good memories were made this weekend as we celebrated Nanny's life.

Last week of school

H got to have a long time playing on the several bounce houses for AR and behavior.  He met his AR goal and had good behavior all year, and he ran and played the whole time!  He (and all the others ) were hot, tired, and sweaty at the end.

Awards day!  He received a trophy for Honor Roll and for the highest AR points in his class.

He was so happy that SweetHart and Pop could be there too

Summer cool!
We are ready!

He finished up the year with Boy Scouts too.  The boys enjoyed building boats out of recyclables, and then floated them in the bayou.  Then they played and we had a cook out.  It's been a fun year!

At the park with Pop and SweetHart.

Last Day of PreK4!!!

Here was C's first day of school this year

Here is C on his last day of school!

He has grown so much!

He was so happy to be graduating!
He looked to cool and laid back!

Hanging out with brother after graduation

C's wonderful teacher, Ms. Rookard.
She was so kind, firm, and PATIENT with all of those kids!

With the teachers aide, Ms. Gregory.  She was so fun for the kids (and other teachers) to be around.

This was in C's folder from when he was Star Student.
"I am special because Pop plays baseball with me. Mama plays with me too."
Love it!

He waited a little while until he was ready to learn everything this year, but once he was ready. he has learned all of his upper and lower case letters and their sounds, can recognize numbers up to twenty (and many others up to 100), he can count to 100, he has learned all sorts of other skills and facts, and has had so many great learning experiences this year.

Kindergarten, here he comes!

Snapshots

Shopping with my wild ones....

 Always an adventure!
A few people at the stores we went to that weekend said
"It looks like you have your hands full with those two!"

And then for mothers day H woke up with high fever and strep throat again.

On Friday, C graduated from PreK!
He kept saying "this is the best day ever!!!"
He was so excited to graduate and be finished with "so much work."

We borrowed H from his class so he could be there for C too!

 With his teacher, Mrs. Rookard.

And his other teacher Mrs. Gregory.

This is from when he was star student.
Sweet boy!
On to Kindergarten!

Friday Fun!

All of PreK at the school had a fun day with bounce houses, bubbles, games, and pizza.  They had a blast and were so worn out when the day was over.  I was able to sneak out on my planning period and jump, slide, and play with C.

All of first grade had a Teddy Bear Picnic day where they wore pjs to school, brought a stuffed animal, and had lots of fun activities to do.  I snuck over and helped them make teddy bear ears for the picnic.

After school we went to the park for a little fun.

And then after pizza and a movie we went outside to play and enjoy the evening

And take some silly selfies!

H is always ready for a smile!
