Snapshots

We went to Altitude, an indoor trampoline park with friends, and the boys loved jumping, but really had a good time battling on the beam over the foam pit.
I think their favorite part was falling in the pit!

C put himself to sleep in my bed while I was cooking supper.
All of that playing wore him out!

Watching a movie in their stools.

Dr's appointment with this silly one!

I found this note that H made for his friend Delilah at school.
I think they have a little crush on each other!

Thankful

H had his First Grade Thanksgiving Feast, all of the kids were so happy to be on stage, saying their lines.  H's line was "N is for neighbors across the street or across the ocean."

The next day was our school's First Nations school wide day - each grade had a different Native American tribe and had activities/crafts/food to taste from their tribe.  I caught both boys at the morning assembly.  I love how happy they are to see each other at school.  They were to excited that they were sitting at the same table.

Both boys in their Native American costumes after school.  The school wide program is always very fun but very tiring for the kids and teachers.

At Boy Scouts, the boys made thankful turkeys.  Such a cute idea!
H did his all by himself, and I helped C write his words.
H is thankful for friends, family, food, and Thanksgiving.
C said "I love you, supper, loving on Mama and Harrison, supper, and for making this turkey."

We visited with Nanny for a bit on Thanksgiving.

Thankful for all of our blessings this year.
(And for the medicine to get rid of the "stretched throat" we all ended up over Thanksgiving break...)

Black Bayou

Back at one of our favorite places!

It is neat to see how the plants and trees change with the seasons from visit to visit

 Balancing acts

 Exploring little this and that

Pretty day!

Each time we go, they find new and wonderful discoveries. and they remember things that they saw on previous visits (especially the dead fish we saw in the water over a  year ago).  We love this place!

Snapshots

 Giraffe.

Digging for dinosaur bones in the yard.

 C's Disguise a Turkey project.
We had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turkey.

Yoda with a light saber, R2D2 and Obi Wan.
By H.

Sometimes you just have to pretend its still summer time and drench yourselves with the hose (and then take a warm bath!)

Wet chalk is fun to play with!  There are blue hand and footprints all over the driveway now.
C was shivering and wanted his jacket, H didn't seem to feel the cold...

Day off

We had such a great day off for Veteran's Day.
We didn't go anywhere, but just enjoyed being home for the day.

Breakfast faces.  H loves making faces with his food.

Making loom band bracelets for each other and their friends.
H is now able to put the bands on the loom and hook them himself.
Its so great when they can do things for and by themselves.

A morning bike ride/walk for everyone, collecting rocks along the way.

 Working on school projects.
A timeline for H, and a Turkey in Disguise for C.
It was pleasant, but took much longer than I thought it would!

A little construction work at the tool bench.
Some of their toys don't get played with too much anymore, but it is always fun when they bring things out to play with in a new and fun way, like the tool bench.

A little afternoon game of beach ball/baseball soccer?
Whatever the game they made up was, they had fun!

Watching Star Wars with their Star Wars figurines.

Finishing the day off with a little Lite Brite.

November snapshots

 Shopping with the boys...
For whatever reason they like to ride under the cart.
I did hear some "don't lick my nose!" and "don't put your finger in my ear!"
At least it keeps them contained!

H has been learning about charts at school, and now most of his drawings contain a chart of how many of each shape he used.

H brought me this one day after school.  I love that he makes drawings for me at school when he has a few minutes.  He told me it had a rainbow, some animals, music notes, and "lots of cuteness!"

Life with boys - pajamas on the ceiling fan and Reese's mustaches.

Horton likes to hear H practice the piano.

 The weather is getting chilly!
Tatum's nose must be getting cold.
(or he was trying to hide because he snuck up on my bed...)

Halloween Fun!

Pikachu and Iron Man this year.
They were so happy about their costumes!
H opted to get a Pikachu hoodie that he could wear all season long instead of a costume.

Trick or treating!
We love our neighbors, the boys loved it!

Fun at a local church's Trunk or Treat.

We came back home after the fun and the boys watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Wolfman with free reign on their candy!

 Halloween dreams!
