Clay Canvas

Today H and I had a little date to the Clay Canvas - a paint-your-own-pottery place.  The local Moms group had an outing there.  H was excited about our date.  He wanted to pick out all of the items to paint and all of the different colors of paint.  We finally settled on a couple little boy shapes and a few colors to use.

They had a neat little set up, mason jars with water, lots of paintbrushes, here H is painting from his palate.
H was telling how he was painting shoes, hair, a nose, and jammies.
We brought our own art smock today.  I learned that he is a little put off by provided art smocks for whatever reason, so if we bring our own he is willing to wear it.

Bringing his paints back to the basket.  A very serious task for this little independent boy!

Playing with Hayden while the Mamas chatted and took care of business.

Talking to Chicco, the cockatoo, who said "Craaack!"
On the way home, H wasn't talking about painting or his buddies, but about Chicco "who was making noise and said craaaack!"
