We have been talking about taking a trip to the zoo for quite awhile, and we finally made it happen! It seems like every time we planned on it, something would come up or it would rain! The boys were so happy to go, and so was their mama!

We saw beautiful birds, bald eagles, pelicans, monkeys, antelope, zebras, ostrich, turtles, snakes, and more!
And the "blue birds like on Rio!"

Found one of these on my doorstep a couple weeks ago...
Thankfully my neighbor and her shovel came to the rescue. I wasn't quite sure what to do!

We took a little boat ride through the zoo. It was so nice to sit and cool off after walking in the sun all morning.
